BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– No. 1 Penn State defeated No. 18 Indiana, 35-8, on Sunday afternoon in Wilkinson Hall.
The Hoosiers won the opening two matches at 125 and 133 lbs. to go up 8-0 before Penn State stormed back with a handful of bonus point victories to take control of the dual.
After the loss, Indiana's record falls to 7-3 on the year and 3-3 in the Big Ten.
KEY MOMENTS
• Jacob Moran defeated Marco Vespa at 125 with a win by tech fall, 18-2 (4:48), to give Indiana a 5-0 opening lead.
• Henry Porter followed Moran's win with a win of his own in a close match vs. Baylor Shunk, going to Sudden Victory, and getting a takedown to seal it, 9-7.
• Indiana senior Luke Baughman and student athletic trainers Madison Kump and David Seghal were recognized prior to the dual for senior day festivities.
