Indiana Men’s Tennis Heads West to Face UCSB

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– No. 72 Indiana Men's Tennis will face No. 38 UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) on Thursday afternoon in the Golden State.
The match will take place at 5 p.m. (ET)/2 p.m. (PT) at the Arnhold Tennis Center. This will be Indiana's first time playing at UCSB in program history.
The two ranked teams should make for an exciting match. Indiana enters the match with a 10-5 record and is coming off a 4-0 home win over Illinois State.
In singles play, a trio of Hoosiers have already reached eight wins this season in senior+ Patrick Fletchall and freshmen Ekansh Kumar and Sam Landau.
Fletchall is 8-6, Kumar is 8-4 and Landau is 8-1 in singles matches.
In doubles, Kumar and senior Luka Vukovic have been very dominant at No. 3 doubles, holding a 9-3 record. Fletchall and his doubles partner, junior Ilya Tiraspolsky have been very successful at No. 1 doubles, too, as they combine for a 6-1 mark.
UCSB's record stands at 12-1 with wins over Boise State, San Diego State, South Florida and Florida Atlantic, among others. The team's only loss was a 4-3 match at Pepperdine.
