BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––––– Indiana Men's Tennis defeated Saint Louis in 4-0 sweep on Sunday at the IU Tennis Center.
The match was the second in a Sunday double-header, following the conclusion of the IU-Illinois match earlier in the day.
Against Saint Louis, Indiana took care of doubles easily, with Patrick Fletchall and Ilya Tiraspolsky starting it off with a win at No. 1 doubles after a retirement from St. Louis, while leading 4-1.
Jagger Saylor and Luc Boulier closed the deal at No. 3 doubles, 6-1, to take a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Indiana kept the strong play rolling into singles with Fletchall, Ekansh Kumar and Jagger Saylor winning at No. 1, 5 and 3 singles, respectively, in straight sets to clinch a 4-0 team victory.
With the win, Indiana improves their overall record to 12-8.
Indiana be back in action next weekend for two road matches. Indiana will play at Nebraska on Friday, April 7 at 6 p.m. and at Wisconsin on Sunday, April 9 at 1 p.m.
