CHICAGO, Ill. – Indiana fought hard against a field of ranked opponents with both squads finishing 11^th at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course on Friday.

Junior transfer Martin Segurola won the men's 8k Gold Division race, his first race in the cream and crimson. He crossed the line with a time of 24:41.3. Sophomore Garrett Hicks posted a time of 26:20.3 finishing 16^th in the pool of runners.

Graduate Austin Haskett led the men's squad in the men's Tom Cooney 8k Championship race with a top-25 finish. He finished in 24^th with a personal best time of 24:09.1.

Classmate Skylar Stidam (43^rd, 24:27.3) finished in the top-50 along with sophomore Abe Eckman (49^th, 24:31.4) who set a personal best in the 8k race.

On the women's side, senior Phoebe Bates set a personal best with a time of 20:42.6. She finished 42^nd.

Freshmen Grace Tyson (95^th, 21:41.0), Lily Myers (92^nd, 21:39.0), Jasmine Klopstad (116^th, 22:13.0) and sophomore Allie Latta (121^st, 22:38.3) ran their first career 6k race.

The Hoosiers combined for 12 personal best times.
