Jim Green, Wake Forest Invitationals Ahead for IUTF

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana track and field will compete in another split weekend at the Jim Green Invitational (April 19-20) in Lexington, Kent. and the Wake Forest Invitational (April 19) in Winston-Salem, N.C. Eight student-athletes from the distance group compete at Wake Forest while the rest of the Hoosiers travel south to Kentucky.

LAST TIME OUT
After inclement weather altered the Hoosiers' travel plans, they made the most of the weekend as they combined for 10 events wins, 16 season bests and five personal bests at Ball State's We Fly Challenge. Sean Mockler (Hammer), Serena Bolden (Long Jump), Mahogany Jenkins (Triple Jump), Nathan Stone (Pole Vault), Antonio Laidler (100m, 200m), Kenisha Phillips (200m, 400m), Novo Onovwerosuoke, Laidler, Otto De St Jeor, Trelee Banks (4x100), Ryann Parrish (400mH), Micah Camble (400mH) each won their respective events.
Austin Haskett and Brayden Henkle set personal bests in the 3000m Steeplechase. Nico Colchico set a personal best in the 800m while Camden Marshall picked up a top-10 finish at the Bryan Clay Invitational and a first-place finish at the Beach Invitational.
ON DECK
Indiana will travel to Lexington, Kent. for the Jim Green Invitational while eight of the distance athletes head to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the Wake Forest Invitational.
Eight Hoosiers will compete at Wake Forest. Camden Marshall will run the 800m and 1500m distances. Garrett Hicks, Aidan Lord, Abe Eckman and Skylar Stidam are entered into the 5000m race. Austin Haskett will join Marshall in the 1500m and look to improve his time in the 3000m Steeplechase. On the women's side, Grace Tyson and Mariah Wehrle will race in the 5000 meter.
The rest of the squad are entered into track and field events in Lexington.
STIDAM SETS 10K SCHOOL RECORD
• Graduate student Skylar Stidam set the school record in the 10,000m at NC State's Raleigh Relays on opening weekend. He ran a time of 28:32.41 with a PR of over 1:47 to beat now Assistant coach Andrew Poore's record of 28:48.02 set in 2011.
WEHRLE IN THE TOP-10
• Senior Mariah Wehrle moved into the top-10 in the 5,000 meters. She finished 29th at the Raleigh Relays with a time of 16:12.79 to open her outdoor season.
