Big Ten Slate Opens At Illinois On Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana begins the 2025-26 Big Ten schedule with a trip to Illinois on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.

Illinois is on a five-game win streak after securing a 90-41 win over Bellarmine at home on Tuesday. Sophomore forward Berry Wallace is leading four double-figure averages with 18.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Junior guard Gretchen Dolan adds 13.4 point per game while freshman forward Cearah Parchment is coming off a double-double against Bellarmine (16 points, 12 rebounds).

NOTES
- The Hoosiers are 22-21 all-time in Big Ten openers and have won seven-straight league openers which dates to the 2018-19 season. Head coach Teri Moren is 8-3 all-time in conference openers as well.
- Indiana leads the all-time series with the Illini but have dropped the last two meetings after holding a 16-game win streak. It is 20-18 all-time in Champaign.
- Overcoming a slow start, IU rallied for a 71-53 win over Western Michigan on Wednesday night. Senior guard Shay Ciezki led the way with 26 points while junior guard Lenée Beaumont added 13 points. Junior forward Edessa Noyan pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds in the win.
- Ciezki continues to be one of the natin's best shooters as her 24.4 points per game leads the Big Ten and is sixth in the country headed into Saturday's matchup. The Buffalo, N.Y. native has also been averaging a 50-40-90 – going 55.9 percent from the field, 44.9 percent from the arc and 92.3 percent from the free throw line.
