
IUMT to Host Three Matches this Weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana Men's Tennis is set to host a trio of matches this weekend at the IU Tennis Center.
On Friday, Feb. 14, Indiana will begin the weekend with a match against Drake. The match will begin at 5 p.m.
One day later, Indiana will host Louisville for the second match of the weekend. That match will begin at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, Feb. 16, IU will close out the week with a match against DePaul at 12 p.m.
Drake currently sits at 3-5 on the season, looking to end a three-match skid against Western Michigan, Wisconsin, and Creighton.
Louisville holds a 5-5 record on the season, with their last match being a 6-1 loss to Harvard in Cambridge, Mass.
DePaul currently holds a 4-4 record, with their last match resulting in a 4-3 win against Grand Canyon in Phoenix, Ariz.
In singles play, freshman Braeden Gelletich has put together a great start to the season, holding a 5-1 record in singles play. Redshirt sophomore Facundo Yunis also holds a 5-1 record in singles play.
Sophomore Ben Pomeranets has played solid in his singles outings as well, earning himself an undefeated 4-0 record.
In doubles play, the duo of Gelletich and Yunis have continued their great play, holding an undefeated 5-0 record. Matteo Antonescu and Sam Scherer have also put together a strong start to the season, earning a 3-1 record in doubles play.
