Indiana Men’s Tennis defeats Louisville, 4-2.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana Men's Tennis earned themselves their second win of the weekend, defeating Louisville, 4-2, Saturday afternoon at the IU Tennis Center.

For the eighth consecutive time, Indiana would take the doubles point. Michael Andre & Jip van Assendelft would open doubles play with a win at No. 1 doubles, 6-4. Matteo Antonescu & Sam Scherer would secure the doubles point for Indiana with a win at No. 2 doubles, 7-5.

In singles play, Ben Pomeranets would earn the first singles win for IU with a win at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Braeden Gelletich would put the Hoosiers in a position to clinch the match with a win at No. 6 singles, 6-4, 6-2.

Jip van Assendelft would clinch the match victory for Indiana with his win at No. 2 singles, 5-7, 6-2, 6-1, to close out the 4-2 win.

With the win, Indiana moves to 8-0 on the season.

IU will be back in action on Sunday, Feb. 16, with a match against DePaul. The match will begin at 12 p.m.
