Indiana Men’s Tennis Closes Out Weekend With Win Over DePaul

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana Men's Tennis ended their three game home-stand strong, defeating DePaul, 6-1, Sunday Afternoon at the IU Tennis Center.
For the ninth consecutive match, Indiana would open the match by taking the doubles point. Michael Andre & Jip van Assendelft would strike first, taking the win at No. 1 doubles, 6-4. Sam Scherer & Matteo Antonescu would follow up with a win at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, to secure the advantage for IU heading into singles play.
In singles, Braeden Gelletich would earn himself the first win of singles play with his win at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Matteo Antonescu would stretch Indiana's lead to three with a win at No. 6 singles, 6-4, 6-3.
Ben Pomeranets would clinch the match victory for Indiana with a win at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-3.
Jip van Assendelft and Sam Scherer would also earn themselves wins to cap off the 6-1 win.
With the win, Indiana moves to 9-0 on the season.
Indiana will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 19, as the Hoosiers' travel to Boise, Idaho, to take on Boise State. The match will begin at 7 p.m. ET.
