Hoosiers Hit Windy City for Friday Series

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No.71 ranked Indiana women's tennis team heads to the Windy City to face UIC at 1 p.m. ET and Chicago State at 8 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon in Chicago at the XS Tennis Village.

The Cream and Crimson are coming off of a 4-0 home win against No. 69 Cornell last Saturday, where stand-out doubles performances at No.1 (Hi'ilani Williams/ Alessandra Teodosescu, 6-2) and No.3 doubles (Chase Boyer/ Elisabeth Dunac, 6-4) earned the home team the doubles point.
Three Hoosiers also secured singles victories. Freshman Alessandra Teodosescu started them off strong in singles play when she took two sets at singles No.2 (6-2,6-2). Freshman Hi'ilani Williams followed with a win of her own at No.4 singles (6-4,6-1). Ameia Sorey took No.1 singles with the same score as Williams (6-4,6-1).
Series History
IU holds a 2-0 all-time series lead against Chicago State with a series that started in 2024. The pair last met in 2025, where it secured the sweep 7-0. Indiana is 2-0 against UIC as well, clinching the defeats in 2001 and 2024.
