McKay was a four-year letterwinner for the Hoosiers (2007-10) and finished her career with 16 assists, which is tied for third-most in program history. For her career, she appeared in 78 games to rank in the top 10 all-time at IU and also received Academic All-Big Ten honors.
A former midfielder from Suffield, Conn., McKay served as a student assistant coach for the Hoosiers during the 2011 season while completing her degree as a Fitness Specialist with a minor in psychology.
"I would like to thank Coach Lyon for this great opportunity to continue my involvement with Indiana women's soccer," said McKay. "I was blessed to be a part of this program for four years as a player and now I am excited to have a chance to be able to give back to the program as part of the coaching staff."
