HISTORY WITH THE SPARTANS
While Michigan State owns a 45-22-3 advantage in the all-time series with the Hoosiers, Indiana has seen the most the success in recent years. IU has taken five of the last six meetings dating back to 2005.
MATCHING UP WITH THE ELITE
Adam Chalfant sits at 21-2 overall entering the weekend and owns a strong track record amongst the nation's best. He has won six of seven bouts versus top-10 foes and posts a 9-1 mark against all nationally-ranked opponents. The road doesn't get any easier Sunday as #6 Mike McClure comes to town.
PIN KING - Taylor Walsh
• Has already set the all-time IU record with 23 pins (previous record: 19 by Rod Chambelin in 1981)
• 23 pins lead the nation
• Ranks 2nd in school history with 44 career falls (47, Viktor Sveda; 1998-2002)
• Pinned at least four foes in all four tournaments
• Recorded a 15-bout consecutive pinning streak
B1G WINS TOTAL
Hoosiers Ryan LeBlanc and Taylor Walsh are slotted second and third in the Big Ten with 30 and 29 overall wins, respectively. LeBlanc ranks fourth nationally while Walsh's 29 victories are good for sixth most in the country. In addition, Walsh's 23 pins (1st nationally) and LeBlanc's 10 major decisions (t-4th in NCAA) are tops in the Big Ten.
CENTURY CLUB
Ryan LeBlanc is quickly approaching admittance into the 100-win club as an owner of 95 career victories. In addition, he needs nine more W's this season to crack IU's all-time top-10 for wins in a season. Teammate Taylor Walsh is 10 wins shy of the top-10 as well.
BIG TEN DOING BIG THINGS
As a conference, the Big Ten is a combined 66-11 in 77 non-conference duals during the 2013-14 campaign, good for a 85.7 winning percentage. Ten B1G schools can be found in the most recent USA Today Coaches Poll Top-25 and Intermat's Top-25 this week.
