Hoosiers Head To Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Hoosier cross country teams will be back in action Friday, October 13 where they will travel to Madison, Wis. to compete in Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational. A total of 35 men's teams and 33 women's teams will be participating in the meet.
The Hoosiers will have great competition including Big Ten teams Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue and Wisconsin. Nationally ranked teams Syracuse, New Mexico, Stanford, San Francisco, NC State, Providence, Washington, Boise State, Iowa State, Furman, Utah, Georgetown and Yale.
The women's 6K B race will begin at 12:00 a.m. EST and the men's 8K B race will start at 12:40 a.m. EST. The women's 6K championship race will start at 1:20 a.m. EST and the men's 8K championship race will follow starting at 2:00 a.m. EST. Fort Wayne native and IU sophomore, Grace Walther, will be participating in the women's 6K B race. Redshirt freshman, Teddy Browning, Cameron Clements and Marcus Ellington will be competing in the men's 8K B race.
The women's team will be led by redshirt junior Katherine Receveur. Receveur is coming off of winning Big Ten Athlete of the Week twice inside of three weeks and setting a new all-time course record on the IU Championships Cross Country 6K Course with a time of 20:14.08. She will be joined by junior Maggie Allen who after the Sam Bell Invitational now holds the second Hoosier record and fourth all-time course record on the IU Championships Cross Country 6K Course with a time of 20:54.15.
Rounding out the women's Hoosier attack will be redshirt junior Brenna Calder, junior Haley Harris, sophomore Lexa Barrott, redshirt sophomore Kelsey Harris and redshirt freshman Stacy Morozov.
The men's team is coming off of winning the Sam Bell Invitational and will be led by sophomore Ben Veatch, who crossed third overall in the men's 8K. He will be joined by redshirt sophomore, Kyle Mau finished fourth, redshirt freshman Cooper Williams who finished sixth and redshirt junior, Kyle Burks who finished eighth overall. Redshirt sophomore Bryce Millar, redshirt junior Bobby Browning and redshirt junior Joe Murphy will be closing out the men's team.
