BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 6-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will host the No. 18 UConn Huskies on Sunday, Sept. 2 in the 2018 adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.
The match is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. ET at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Ind. The match will be streamed live via BTN Plus on BTN2Go.com and live stats can be found at IUHoosiers.com.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The No. 6-ranked Indiana Hoosiers will host the No. 18 UConn Huskies on Sunday night at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium on the final day of the 2018 adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.
• On Friday, IU blanked No. 22-ranked Dartmouth, 3-0. Andrew Gutman led Indiana with a goal and an assist, while Griffin Dorsey and Austin Panchot also netted scores for IU in the win. Trey Muse recorded his first shutout of the season without having to make a save.
• Last Sunday, the Hoosiers posted a thrilling, 1-0 win on the road at No. 3 North Carolina. A.J. Palazzolo scored the game-winner for IU in the 88th minute.
NEWS AND NOTES
• Senior D Andrew Gutman was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List for the first time in his Hoosier career. Last season, Gutman was named Second-Team All-America by the United Soccer Coaches after helping the Hoosiers lead the NCAA in shutouts (18) and goals allowed (7). The First-Team All-Big Ten and All-Midwest Region selection also netted seven goals on the year and added four assists.
• Both Gutman and sophomore GK Trey Muse earned preseason All-America accolades from both Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer New
• Gutman, Muse and senior MF Francesco Moore were all named to the Big Ten Preseason Honors List, as the Hoosiers were unanimously picked as the league's favorites in a poll conducted of the conference's head coaches.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
• UConn was picked to finish in third place according to the American Athletic Conference Preseason Poll released earlier this month. The Huskies earned their sixth-consecutive top-three spot in the preseason poll since joining the American in the 2013 season.
• Jacob Hauser-Ramsey earned Preseason Defensive Player of the Year honors for the AAC.
• The Huskies recorded wins over Lehigh and Niagara before falling to No. 24 Notre Dame on Friday, 3-0.
• Last season, Connecticut posted an overall record of 8-8-2, with a mark of 4-3 in AAC play.
SERIES HISTORY
• Sunday's match between the Hoosiers and the Huskies will mark the eighth meeting between the two programs, with the series tied at 3-3-1.
• The match is the first since 2015, when Indiana beat UConn, 1-0, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Bloomington. Ben Maurey had the match-winner for IU in the 39th minute off an assist from Andrew Gutman.
• In Bloomington, Indiana is 2-0-1 against UConn all-time.

• The four-matches marks the first time in program history that IU has played ranked opponents in a season's first four games.

IU TAKES DOWN NO. 3 NORTH CAROLINA
• Redshirt sophomore A.J. Palazzolo made the most of his first collegiate goal, heading home the winner on the road at No. 3 North Carolina on Aug. 26.
• The victory was Indiana's first on the road against a ranked opponent since beating No. 2 Louisville, 2-1, on Oct. 11, 2016.
HOOSIERS RETURN NINE STARTERS
• The Indiana Hoosiers return nine starters from the 2017 team that posted a record of 18-1-6 in 2017, reaching the College Cup Final.
• IU also returns 83 percent of the team's minutes played, 69 percent of the goals scored and 88 percent of the assists.
• Indiana's Grant Lillard signed a Homegrown Contract with the Chicago Fire, while freshman Mason Toye signed a Generation adidas deal with the MLS and was selected No. 8 overall by Minnesota United FC in the MLS SuperDraft.
