
Hoosiers Set to Compete in Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Hoosiers travel to Madison, Wis. this week to compete in the 10th-annual Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational at Thomas Zimmer Championship Course, hosted by the University of Wisconsin on Friday morning. There will be a total of 38 teams on the women's side and 36 teams on the men's side
The women's "B" 6k race will start the day off at 12:00 pm EST with the men's "B" 8k race scheduled for 12:40 pm EST. The women's Championship 6k race will start at 1:20 pm EST with the men's Championship 6k race closing the event with a 2:00 pm EST start time.
The women's "B" race will feature three Hoosiers including sophomore Hannah Stoffel, freshman Claire Hamilton, and freshman Josey Korte. On the men's side a total of five Hoosiers will line up at the start including freshman Aaron Bennett, sophomore Teddy Browning, senior Joe Murphy, and graduate student Kenneth Hagen. Sophomore Cooper Williams will join his teammates in competition for the first time this season.
Seven Hoosiers will compete in the Championship races on the men's and women's side. For the women senior Katherine Receveur and senior Maggie Allen will lead the team. They will be joined by senior Haley Harris, junior Kelsey Harris, junior Lexa Barrott freshman Sarah Schmitt, and freshman Bailey Hertenstein. The women look to improve on their 17th place team finish from last year.
Junior Kyle Mau will take the lead for the Hoosiers during the men's 8k Championship race. Junior Bryce Millar, senior Kyle Burks, sophomore Hunter Moore, freshman Dustin Horter, freshman Reese Jordan, and freshman Arjun Jha will run along side Mau in hope to improve on the 29th team finish from last year.
