• Senior Evan Gaesser, who started on the No. 17 tee, carded a 75 in the first round before improving by one stroke in the second to move into a tie for 44^th place.

• In the opening 18, Gaesser collected four birdies with three of those coming on the back nine. He also picked up four birdies in the second round. He finished strong to close out both rounds, picking up a pair or birdies in final three holes.

• Freshman Eric Berggren started on the No. 16 tee and carded an 83 and 78, respectively.

• Berggren's strongest part of the day came on the back nine of the second round as he carded a 1-under-par 35, with a par or birdie on every hole but one.
