Indiana Wrestling Fights Through Session II at Big Ten Championships

LINCOLN, Neb. ––– Indiana Wrestling had eight wrestlers compete in Session II of the Big Ten Championships on Saturday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Hoosiers are still seeking to earn NCAA automatic qualification in a handful of weight classes with the opportunity to clinch some on Sunday as part of Session III and IV.

KEY MOMENTS

Eight Hoosiers competed in Session II in some capacity, whether in Consolation Round 2 or as part of the 9^th Place Bracket Round 1.
Six Indiana wrestlers took part in the 9^th Place Bracket part of the competition whether by competing or by bye in the first round.
Jacob Moran (125) and Nick South (174) each picked up wins in their opening bouts of the 9^th Place Bracket.
It should be noted that all competition in the 9^th Place Brackets do not count toward team score.
