UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Indiana falls to 2-3 in dual meets on the year and 0-2 in the Big Ten after a 42-3 loss at Penn State. Redshirt senior Taylor Walsh came away with the Hoosiers sole victory.

Walsh won the 165-pound bout with a 9-6 decision. After the first period, Walsh led 5-2 after a couple of takedowns and an escape. Following a scoreless second period, Hammond kept it close with two takedowns in the third to trail 7-6. Walsh earned the victory and moved to 23-2 on the year after an escape and a bonus point for riding time.

Senior Luke Sheridan kept it close, but fell short of the fourth ranked 197-pounder by way of 6-3 decision. In another close bout, Alex Gregory lost in a low scoring battle, 2-0 to the eighth ranked wrestler in the 157-pound class, Dylan Alton. Alton earned his two points on an escape and a bonus point for riding time.

The Hoosiers head back home to take on ninth ranked Illinois in the University Gymnasium this Sunday (Jan. 11) at 1 pm.
