BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 10 Indiana men's soccer team (9-2-3) scored a season-high five goals in a dominating 5-1 victory over the Evansville Aces (2-10-1) at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium on Tuesday night.

KEY MOMENTS
• Redshirt junior Spencer Glass wasted little time in getting Indiana on the scoreboard, as he slotted home a left-footed kick from just inside the 18-yard box into the bottom left corner of the net in the first minute of play. The goal came off assists from freshman Victor Bezerra and freshman Herbert Endeley.
• Bezerra tallied the second goal of the match for Indiana in the ninth minute. He made a great run down the middle of the pitch to receive the through ball from freshman Joshua Penn. Bezerra sized up the keeper from 10-yards away and put the ball between his legs for the goal.
• Redshirt junior A.J. Palazzolo secured the third Indiana goal of the first half in the 29th minute. The build-up included a great cross from the left wing from Penn to find redshirt senior Simon Waever. Waever utilized a soft-touch pass to find Palazzolo at the top of the 18-yard box. The St. Louis, native sent in a laser off his left foot to beat the keeper in the top left corner.
• Evansville found the back of the net off a penalty kick from senior Jesse Stafford-Lacey in the 62nd minute.
• Indiana answered back in the 68th minute with a brilliant run from junior Thomas Warr. He timed his run perfectly as the Evansville backline was stepping forward. The pass up the sideline from Bezerra gave Warr a one-on-one with the keeper. He easily shook the keeper and tapped home a 15-yard goal off his right foot.
• Redshirt freshman Trey Kapsalis, playing in his first career game, registered the final score of the contest for Indiana in the 88th minute. He found space just inside the 18-yard box and fired a goal toward the top right corner.

NOTABLES
• Glass' goal came 53 seconds into the match, making his tally the eighth fastest goal to begin a match in program history. Indiana last scored a goal in the first minute of play against San Francisco on Sept. 1, 2017 when Trevor Schwartz found the back of the net in 47 seconds.
• The five goals scored by the Hoosiers mark the most since recording a 5-0 shutout victory at Evansville on Sept. 21, 2018. The four-goal margin of victory is the largest goal differential in an IU victory since defeating UConn 4-0 in the opening round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament on Nov. 18, 2018.
• The Hoosiers are undefeated in the team's last 34 matches at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium, posting a mark of 30-0-4. The last Indiana loss at home came to No. 20 Virginia Tech, 2-1 in overtime, on Nov. 27, 2016 in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
• In IU's last 54 regular season matches against non-conference opponents dating back through the 2014 season, the Hoosiers have posted an impressive record of 41-5-8.
• Indiana is unbeaten against Evansville in the last 21 matches between the two clubs with a record of 20-0-1. IU has not dropped a home match against the in-state foe since Oct. 27, 1985 and sport a 14-0-1 record in Bloomington in the 15 matches since the loss.
• Freshman Brett Bebej made his seventh appearance for the Hoosiers and his first career collegiate start.
• Along with Kapsalis, both redshirt freshman Ben Yeagley and redshirt freshman Isaac Sarosy made their collegiate debuts.
