Tyson, Windy City Invitationals Up Next for Indiana Track and Field

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana track and field will head to the Windy City Invitational in Chicago, hosted by the University of Wisconsin, while a trio of jumpers head to the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., for their final two-day meets of the indoor season.

Last Time Out:
Jessica Mercier shattered the women's indoor pole vault school record after she soared 4.41m/14-05.50 over the bar at Notre Dame in the final day of the Meyo Invitational.
On the men's side, Nathan Stone earned the first podium finish after he achieved a personal best with a jump of 5.50m/18-00.50 over the bar to place third.
Kenisha Phillips claimed the 200-meter title with a season best time of 23.88.
Morgan Snow won the women's 400 meter open with a time of 55.67.
Short sprinters Antonio Laidler and Ray Brodie advanced to the finals after great performances in the semifinals.
Tyler Reyna set a new personal best with 18.12m while Smith tied his personal record of 18.16m.
The Hoosier Lineup:
Sprints:
Symone Adams and Kristina Vincic will race in the 60 meters and the 200 meters with Morgan Snow and Olivia Gee.
Gee will also race in the 60-meter hurdles.
Ryann Parrish, Kenisha Phillips, Morgan Snow and Cambell Wamsley will run the long sprint 400 meters.
Phillips, Snow, Vincic, Wamsley are entered to run the 4x400 relay.
On the men's side, John Colquitt will run the 60-meter hurdles while Antonio Laidler will race in the 60-meter sprint.
Colquitt, Laidler and Vincente Graiani in the 200 meters while Micah Camble runs the 400-meter-long sprint.
Camble, Graiani and Laidler and Novo Onovwerosuoke will all race a leg of the men's 4x400 relay.
Distance and Mid-Distance:
The distance group will be busy in the 800 meters with five men entered to run, including Nico Colchico, Jaylen Castillo, Keelan Grant, Parker Raymond and Keefer Soehngen. Maddie Russin will run the race on the women's side.
Cam Marshall and Martin Segurola look to improve their Mile time this year with Lily Myers and Katelyn Winton look to do the same on the women's side.
Austin Haskett, Aidan lord and Skylar Stidam are back for the 3000 meters.
Phoebe Bates, Mariah Wehrle, Grace Tyson and Katelyn Winton will continue their run in the 3k. Tyson is also entered into the 5k.
Pole Vault:
Jessica Mercier and Libby Saloga will vault for the Hoosiers this weekend.
Mericer ranks third in the conference after she set the school record with a height of 4.41m/14-5.5 and is tied fifth in the NCAA.
The men will send a trio of guys including Nathan Stone, Tyler Carrel, Tyler Sierks and Riley Johnston. as they face competitive competition on the men's side.
Stone's personal best mark of 5.50m/18-0.50 set at the Meyo Invitational last weekend leads the Big Ten and is tied 10th in the nation.
Multis:
Garrett Messer and Max Grangier will focus on a few events this weekend with the 60-meter Hurdles and the Long Jump. Messer will also enter into the shot put competition.
Throws:
Six throwers including Bridget Beyer and Makayla Hunter and three on the men's side Sean Mockler, Tyler Reyna and Hunter Smith will compete in the weight throw.
Hunter will also look to enter the circle this weekend for the shot put.
Jumps:
The jumpers look to return to action after taking the weekend off as they split up between the two invitationals.
On day one of the Tyson Invitational, Paola Fernandez-Sola and Serena Bolden will compete in the Long Jump. Bolden will join Mahogany Jenkins in the Triple Jump.
Kelly Moran will appear in her first competition this season in the Long Jump at the Windy City. Taylor Schoonveld will compete in the High Jump.
On the men's side, Deepak Laungani and Grayson Rolen will be ready to go in the High Jump this weekend while Alex Smith participates in the Long Jump.
Competition:
In Chicago, the Hoosiers will compete against Minnesota, Purdue, Michigan State, Rutgers, Iowa, Michigan, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, UCF, Howard, Loyola-Chicago, Tulsa, Air Force, NIU, Florida A&M and DePaul.
