BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Two Hoosier wrestlers came away form Sunday's meet victorious, yet Indiana loses 34-6. Taylor Walsh (165 lbs.) and Nate Jackson (174 lbs.) both won their matches by decision.

Taylor Walsh yet again faced a ranked opponent. His match-up with No. 10/13 Taylor Massa marks the 12th time Walsh has faced a ranked opponent, all of which have been ranked in the top 15. Walsh got to work quickly with a takedown and two-point nearfall early in the first period. After a Massa escape in the second period, Walsh earned a second takedown of the bout to take the lead 6-1, which is how the match would finish. With the victory over Massa, Walsh is now 8-4 against ranked opponents and 25-4 overall on the year.

Indiana's other ranked wrestler, Nate Jackson also came away with a win on Sunday. Jackson fell behind in the first when he was taken down by Salazar. Quickly Jackson escaped to bring the score to 2-1. Just before time expired in the first period, Jackson earned a takedown (which Salazar escaped from) and the period ended at a 3-3 tie. Following a scoreless second period, Jackson scored four points in the third earning an escape, a takedown and a penalty point against Salazar (stalling). The Hoosier 174-pounder won by an 8-3 decision after a bonus point for riding time.

The Hoosiers head to Nebraska next weekend to face the Cornhuskers on Sunday, February 1 (1 pm). Indiana is home again February 13 to face Michigan State at 1 pm.
