Indiana University Athletics Hall of Fame

Established in 1982 in conjunction with the Varsity Club and I Association, the Indiana Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have contributed to the prestige of Indiana University Athletics on and off the field.
The brainchild of former Varsity Club Director Dave Martin. When it debuted, it was one of only a handful of intercollegiate athletics halls of fame in the country. At the time, only two of the 10 members of the Big Ten had Athletics Halls of Fame – Ohio State (started in 1977) and Michigan (1978). Others would follow, as Northwestern (1984), Iowa (1989), Minnesota (1991), Wisconsin (1991), Michigan State (1992), Purdue (1994) and Illinois (2017) would do the same.
